Virtual Prototypes Supporting Novel and Remote Product Design

Product development of their innovative Unmanned Air System (UAS)

Back to Projects

GH Dynamics Ltd is a Northwest-based aerospace company with expertise and a focus around the development of Unmanned Aircraft Systems for industrial applications, in particular, to support the challenging requirements of offshore wind turbine inspections.

GH Dynamics Ltd approached the VEC to support the product development of their innovative Unmanned Air System (UAS).

Utilising the VEC’s in-house virtual engineering expertise and with access to specialist facilities including the Virtual Engineering Simulation Laboratory (VESL), GH Dynamic was provided with design support for their system, along with the development of virtual models and simulation expertise to test and validate the design.

In addition, the VEC was able to provide a 3D visualisation of the outcome by facilitating a design review in the VEC’s Visualisation Virtual Reality Laboratory (VVRL).
