The integration of data analytics, AI and social media analysis, has transformed event assessments like the Eurovision Song Contest. By leveraging social media insights, organisers and policy makers can gain a better understanding of the public perception and cultural impact, using an event that attracted 473,000 attendees and boosted the local economy.
AI analysis of platforms like TikTok and YouTube provided unique insights into audience sentiment and reactions throughout the event period. The VEC’s use of generative AI offered a deep understanding of artist representation and community engagement, revealing overall positive sentiments.
Additionally, footfall data during the event emphasised its economic impact, aiding city planners in future resource allocation.
Overall, these insights enhance economic forecasting, strengthen international relationships, and improve large-scale event management.
