Join us on 9th March for the 2022 launch of projects which support LCR SMEs to attract, recruit and develop graduates and interns!

Are you a Liverpool City Region-based SME hiring at the graduate or intern level?

Join us on 9th March from 15:30 for the 2022 launch of projects run by the Careers and Employability at the University of Liverpool, which support LCR SMEs to hire the best local student and graduate talent!

This event will be attended by students, graduates, local businesses and City Region stakeholders.

Attendees will:

  • Hear from a panel of businesses who have successfully hired graduates and interns through these initiatives, who will be joined by their recruits.
  • Have the chance to network potential future hires, over drinks and a bite to eat.

We will also be joined by Liverpool City Region Metro Mayor, Steve Rotheram and Mayor of Liverpool, Joanne Anderson who will emphasise the importance of a strong pipeline of graduate talent to the growth of the Liverpool City Region.

Careers and Employability at the University of Liverpool are hosting this event to showcase the success of two recently launched projects:

LCR Grad Scheme – part-funded by the European Social Fund, is a project which runs attraction campaigns and recruitment processes for SMEs who are hiring graduates. Once employed, graduates are enrolled on a six-month training and development programme to enhance their skills.

Liverpool Interns – businesses will receive a £1000 bursary (funded through Santander Universities) to fund a current student, to devote 100 hours to a ‘real world project’ for the benefit of your business.
