Back to News & Views

The Virtual Engineering Centre (VEC) will be attending the Made Smarter conference on Wednesday 10th March 2021.

Here you will be able to speak with our friendly team regarding your digital strategy, emerging digital technologies and learn more about how the VEC has supported hundreds of manufacturing SMEs to adopt digital tools, increase productivity, introduce new products to market, whilst upskilling current staff in a developing supply chain.

The VEC is home to innovative digital testbeds, a unique range of capabilities, links to academia through the University of Liverpool and an array of industry expertise. We can offer your business unbiased and bespoke support through projects such as LCR4 START (European funded).

The Virtual Engineering Centre can be found at Stand 14 between 9am -5pm. Here, you will be able to download our ‘Digital Transformation for SME’ brochure and watch videos showcasing our celebrated support for manufacturing SMEs through the LCR 4.0 project, where we supported over 300 SMEs on their digital journey.

“The Made Smarter: Journey to Digital Manufacturing Conference and Expo is a virtual event showcasing the value technology has brought to the North West Manufacturing Sector with the support of the Made Smarter Pilot Programme.

Not only will manufacturers hear from their peers about the digital journey they have been on, but they can also tap into the expertise of the regions’ technology demonstrators and suppliers.

We are delighted that the Virtual Engineering Centre will be joining the expo, and manufacturers will be able to explore solutions to overcome their business challenges with the VEC’s experts.” – Alain Dilworth, Programme Manager for the NW Made Smarter Adoption Pilot

The event is free to attend and you can register here today.
