We are seeking exceptional candidates to join our team in the role of Project Engineer to participate in the development and enhancement of virtual prototypes and virtual environments using specialist tools and graphics software to support engineering applications and SME development programmes. You will be motivated and able to contribute to the development of capability in Virtual Engineering and support the growth of the Centre. You will join a multidisciplinary team focusing on: Design optimisation, manufacture and assembly, finite element analysis, and computational fluid dynamics; Control and simulation, synthetic environments; Virtual reality/augmented reality facility development; Systems architecture for distribution simulation.


You should have a PhD in Engineering/Computer Science and substantial experience in one or several areas: Software development (ideally at PhD level) and code optimisation; Wide Range of programming language such as C++, C#, Java, JavaScript and related development environments (Visual Studio, NetBeans, Eclipse, etc); The use of multi-core clusters; Development application for the databases such as SQL, MongoDB, etc.
