Editorial Appointment for Virtual Engineering Centre Researcher
Dr Gasser Abdelal, Research Associate at the Virtual Engineering Centre, part of the School of Engineering, has been appointed to the Editorial Board of the ASP-International Journal of Aerospace Sciences.
The international journal publishes papers and reviews articles related to all fields of aerospace research.
Gasser is a member of AIAA and he is actively engaged in the following research areas:
- Manufacturing simulation of metallic structures using Implicit/Explicit finite element.
- Nonlinear dynamic response of structures.
- MultiScale finite element modelling of composite materials in design and manufacturing.
He recently presented at the AES 2011 conference in Milan.
