IoD North West - Manufacturers Roundtable

The event has several aims:
- Sharing best practices
- Introduction to the potential of digital manufacturing
- Expanding personal knowledge and understanding
- Showcase the VEC as a resource for the NW region
- Developing new and useful relationships
We expect the event will run for around 2- 2½ hours, including the demonstrations.

Virtual Engineering Centre
Andrew Borland joins the VEC in January 2017 as Commercialisation Manager where he will also be joining the LCR 4.0 team, supporting LCR 4.0 clients and our technical team with commercial development, intellectual property protection and technology licensing.
Previously IP Business Manager at the University of Liverpool’s technology transfer office Liverpool IP. Andrew joined the University’s legal department in 2012 having previously been a part of an award-winning ICT start-up. He is a graduate of the Chartered Institute of Company Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA), the University of Liverpool Law School, and undertook his LPC at John Moores University.
During her time at the VEC, Lynn has had responsibility for both client development and project management of funded programmes including heading the successful delivery of the original ERDF programme which established the VEC and Programme Manager for the STRIVE AMSCI project.
They have over 100 employees; including 13 partners and 45 lawyers based in Warrington, Stockton Heath and Frodsham.
The Commercial law team is led by hands-on, highly experienced partners providing pro-active legal advice to private and public-sector organisations, from multi-nationals to small business start-ups.
Services include; Real Estate, Corporate Law, Commercial Law, Notarial, Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Employment Law and HR. In addition, FDR Law provide private legal services for Family, Conveyancing, Estate planning and Civil Litigation.
