Virtual Reality Workshops

The Virtual Engineering Centre (VEC) of the University of Liverpool is hosting the first in a series of free Knowledge Transfer Workshops on the use of Virtual Reality (VR) in manufacturing and design.

 

As VR is moving from a cutting edge technology to a mainstream design tool the award winning team at VEC is providing a series of two-day hands on workshops to help Liverpool City Region companies’ recognise the value of VR as an extension to their existing CAD and digital design toolbox.

 

The first event focused on manufacturing engineers is already fully subscribed, but spaces are still available for the second two-day workshop on the 19th & 20th September which will focus on VR for digital and creative designs companies.

 

Delegates will first look at the various forms of VR hardware and software in addition to their applications moving on to how to handle VR data flow applying meshing, texturing and lighting. The VEC will demonstrate how to install and operate the essential software for VR, get models running and add basic interactivity.
